Rose Marie (“Rosie”) Rogalski passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She is the mother of John (Leighann), Nancy Ann (Anthony Vitti) and Melissa Rogalski and grandmother to Julie-Ana and John Thomas Rogalski III. Born in New Haven on December 12, 1955, she is survived by her partner Nancy Landry, parents Salvatore F. DeMaio, Sr. and Phyllis DeMaio, siblings MaryAnn (Tim) Ackerman, Theresa (Robert) Puccino, Anthony DeMaio, Angela (John) Furino, Phyllis Monacchio, and Sal DeMaio, Jr. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews, and her loving fur babies Madison, Tucker Tray, Binx, and Gizzy. She was a school bus driver for East Haven bringing smiles to the faces of countless children for more than 30 years. She was a certified pool shark and loyal and loving mother, sister, daughter and aunt, and she will be deeply missed. A lover of all animals, she will be greeted in heaven by her loving rescue animals Lucky,Star, Jake, and Gracie.
A Christian Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, October 15, 2022, at St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Place, New Haven. Burial will be private. In honor of Rosie, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the ASPCA or Branford Hospice.
Rest easy my Dear, Sweet friend. You were an inspiration to everyone that you met and you were loved so so deeply. I thank you for all those many many years of friendship that we shared and for all those crazy, fun Vacations we went on together. The times Nancy, you and I spent together, were the best times in my life! Everytime I think of you, I'll put on a great big smile and giggle a little. Until we meet again, I love you!!!
