Samuel Randolph, Jr (Buddy Roe) was born on September 24, 1945 in Martin County, North Carolina to the late Samuel (Bus) Randolph, Sr. and Rosa Lee Brown Randolph.
 He received his education in both Martin and Pitt counties. Upon completing his education, Buddy Roe visited several cities along the east coast to find a new place to call home. He first tried Washington, DC with his sister and then Brooklyn, NY with one of his older brothers. He then tried a third location - Danbury, CT alongside his aunt, Hattie B. For him, Connecticut felt right, and it became his home. During this time, he married Pearliner Dixon, and they had three sons. Over the years, he worked a variety of jobs, most notably as everyone’s favorite mechanic.Â
Buddy Roe was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Rosa Lee; wife, Pearliner; siblings - Willie Randolph of Bethel, NC (survived by wife, Helen Ruth Randolph), William Randolph of Brooklyn, NY and Annie Heath of Washington, DC (Reuben).
He leaves to cherish three sons: Jonathan, Samuel III (Mychelle), LaVon (Emma); two daughters, Jennifer and Debra; grandchildren: Joseph, Jordan, Tyler, Keenan, Logan, Samantha, Kendra, Jayden, DeAndre, Lavon, Tye-Maurice, Kaisha, Dantrell, Savon, David, Rosalie, Benjamin and great granddaughter Ka’Morra. One sister, Artis Willoughby (Noah Jr) of Bethel, NC, special friend, Margo Thompson and her children Marquise & Aaron, special cousins Bonnie Coates and Johnnie Council of Danbury, CT.Â
Buddy Roe gave his life to Christ and adopted Bishop James H. Taylor of Greenville, NC as his pastor. He lived out his final years in the home of Samuel and Mychelle who cared for him as well as family Alison Campbell and friend Margo Thomson who also cared for him. He departed this life on January 16, 2026.
