Sharon L. (Fox) Mcquillan 71, of New Britain, passed away Saturday 8-15-2020 at the Pines of Bristol. She was born 8-19-1948 in Bristol to Mary (Sumner) Fox & the late Edward R. Fox of Plainville. Sharon attended Plainville schools & PHS, class of 1967.
She received her GED & worked at various jobs including CNA at Forestville Rehab, New Britain Memorial, and later the cook at the Community Mental Health Affiliates in New Britain, CT.
Sharon was an excellent cook & loved making her ground bologna/pickle sandwiches & potato salad for family events.
She crocheted beautiful afghans, creating crafts, making fudge & writing poems. But especially loved spending time in her later years, at the Daybreak Center in Plainville, making many friends.
Besides her mother Mary, she leaves her daughter Dawn Louise (Ochankowski) Doucette of Bristol, "Mema" to her beloved grandsons Ryan, Cody, Hunter Doucette.

Sharon also leaves her siblings, Frances (Dick) Scofield of VT, Georgia (Dan) Burgess of Plainville, Edward (Millie) Fox, Jessica (Ray) Lambert of Bristol, & Michael (Maureen) Fox of Plainville.
She also has many special nephews, nieces, extended family & dear friends that will miss her.
Sharon was a brave 31 year breast cancer survivor before this awful disease returned. She said, "She had a great run" when given the grave diagnosis.
She is our Special Angel now.
Due to Covid, a memorial will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Community of Mental Health Affiliates of New Britain or the Breast Health Initiative of New Britain, CT.
