As the first female black belt in Litchfield County, she was a long-time student and instructor at Hamzy’s School of Self-Defense. Shayne lived her life to the fullest always seeking new adventures, volunteering with the Kiwanis Club, and spending time with family.
She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Peter Haynes, two grandsons, Peter and Sam; her sister Patricia Norieka and sister Colleen Tomasko and husband Matthew; her nephew and his wife, Danny and Christine Cimmino and great nephews, Mac and Charley.
