Sherry E. Callahan

Sherry Callahan, 71, of Rocky Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on

May 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sherry was born on June 15, 1954, to William Callahan and Bernice Callahan (Schell). She worked as a nurse for more than 20 years and will be remembered for her strength, kindness, compassion, and the love she shared with family and friends. She especially loved visiting Gettysburg and spending time with her beloved dogs, Hooch and Finnie.

She was predeceased by her brother, William Callahan Jr., and her brother-in-law, Donald Knox. She is survived by her brother, John Callahan and his wife, Diane; her sister, Kathleen Knox; her daughter, Melissa Freeland and her husband, David; her daughter, Jessica Puma and her husband, Brian; her son, James Calkins and his wife, Amanda; her grandchildren, Kayla, Alexandria, and Callan; her great-grandson, Logan, along with her anticipated great-granddaughter, Kasia; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
