Sheryl (Winston) Furnari passed away on July 31, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on May 6, 1963, in Danvers, MA, to the late George and Joan (Lee) Winston, Sheryl graduated from Enfield High School in 1981 and lived in Somers, CT, where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Charles (Chuckie) Furnari. They moved to Stafford, CT, to raise their family. Sheryl took immense pride in her roles as both a caregiver and homemaker, especially in raising her sons, Michael and C.J., always putting the needs of her loved ones first.
Sheryl loved music and attended countless concerts, sharing her infectious laughter with everyone around her. Her happiest moments were spent at the beach with her family, where her spirit shone brightest.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Charles, her son, C.J., his partner, Ashley Titus, and her granddaughter, Ava. She is predeceased by her son, Michael.
She also leaves behind her in-laws: Chuck and Joan Furnari, Butch and his wife Teri, Mark and his wife Karen; her sister, Jodie (Winston) Buanno and her husband, Comie; her brother, Greg and his wife, Corinne (McLaughlin). She was predeceased by her brother, Michael, and sister-in-law, Amy (Krasinski). Sheryl also leaves her Aunt Sharon (Winston) Haskell and is predeceased by Uncle William Haskell and Aunt Virginia (Lee).
Her nephews and nieces, Ryan and Jessica Winston, Kalia, Alyssa, and Anthony Furnari, and Brittany Furnari, along with the memory of Linzi Furnari, will always remember Sheryl for her warmth and the joy she brought into their lives.
In keeping with Sheryl’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. Sheryl’s legacy of love, the home she created, and the care she provided will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Please accept my condolences on Sheryl's passing. I have some very fond memories of Sheryl and the Winston family as we all grew up together. Rest easy Sheryl as you had sufferec enough.
To All of Sheryl's Family,
My heart goes out to all of you during this very sad time! May you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and that she is once again rejoined with her son Michael Anthony, her brother Michael, her sister-in-law Amy and her parents Joan and George.
