Shirley M Tuscano

Shirley M Tuscano, surrounded by family, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 27, 2022.
Shirley was born on February 25, 1933 . She was pre-deceased by her mother Bernice Peterson, Father Carl Peterson, sons Robert, Carl and Charles Tuscano, a grandson Lucas Tuscano, Sister Bernice Lemachko, and a brother Billy Peterson.
Shirley grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She married her husband Robert on March 3, 1951 and they had 6 children together. They raised their family in Clinton, Westbrook and North Branford before settling down in Middletown. Shirley worked at and retired from Waldbaums in Middletown Ct. Shirley enjoyed many things especially the casino, playing poker, a good scrabble game, her computer games, a big plate of liver and onions and most of all her family. Many memories were made during Sunday dinners on Plaza Drive. Shirley would whip up a batch of stuffed peppers, stuffed cabbage, chop-suey or her famous dough boys. Her large family would pack into her small apartment and enjoy her cooking and watch wrestling on t.v. together. It was a treasured family tradition.
Shirley leaves behind daughters, Cheryl Tuscano-Pavelka and husband Bobby Pavelka, Cindy and Mark Hiatt and Laura and Gene Jones. Daughter in laws, Sherry Rist and Anna Tuscano a sister Alice and her husband Gene Dolega. Several nieces and nephews, Grandchildren; Anita, Paul , Dina, Jennifer, Monica, Amanda, Tammy, Jeremy, Ryan, Bubba, Tiffany and Little Charlie. Great Grand children ; Ashley, Brian, Deven, Ace, Mariah, Syreniti, Brenan, Lulu, Aiden, Madelyn, Kora, Jaiden, Saige, Remedy, Trinity, Arolyn, Joshua, Cheyenne, Kaden, Anamaria, Makayla, Makenzie, Liam, Eli, Clara, Ransom, Erik, Waylon and Lydia and a great-great grandson Winston.
Shirley will be remembered as the heart of her family. We will all miss her blunt tell it like it is attitude, her sassiness and most of all her love. The family would like to express a heart felt thank you to Hartford Hospital , Agency on Aging and City Care for their compassion, support and for the care they provided for Shirley. A special thank you to Chyna for taking such good care of her. A family gathering to celebrate Shirley will be held on Saturday August 6, 2022 at Chatfield Hollow State Park.
