Staley R. Tichenor 1964-2022

My amazing husband, Staley R Tichenor was taken away too soon. Born 12-13-1964 died 6-21-22.

He spent 10 years in the military ending his career as a Sergeant in the Army. He was an 82nd airborne ranger, and after completing sniper and paratrooper school, he was selected for special forces and became a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant. Throughout his various deployments, he was awarded 2 Purple Hearts and the combat infantryman badge, but never bragged or boasted to anyone. He remained humble and confident all of his life. He was the patriarch of our family. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Ray Tichenor, mother Stacia Tichenor, and younger sister Beth Elizabeth Tichenor Chase. Survived by his wife Deborah A Tichenor, children Staley Tichenor Jr., Ethan Tichenor, Barbara Tichenor Sarty, his stepchildren Ashley Reed, Brittany Bussard, and Faith Jackowski, his 9 grandchildren Bradley, Owen, Arabella, Ella, Joshua, Wells, Millie, Cullen, and Jett. Their Grumpa will be sorely missed by all of his grandchildren. As his wife and best friend, my heart is shattered with an emptiness I cannot describe.

His services will be held at Middletown Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown CT 06457 at Noon on July 8th 2022. Please arrive for service 15 mins prior to noon, the service will last 25 mins, following the services all are welcome to come back to Debbie and Staley’s house, for pool and refreshments.

I was saddened to hear of Staley's passing. I grew up near his family and got to know him briefly while in junior high. It warms my heart to know he has such a loving family. As a Veteran, he has my utmost respect, gratitude and admiration. From our family to yours, we extend our deepest sympathy and keep you in our prayers.

God bless you all. Kimberly (Loiselle) and Francois Frenette
