Steven Castonguay

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Steven Castonguay on December 23, 2025. Born on September 23, 1973, in Bristol, Connecticut, Steven consistently offered warmth and kindness to those around him, and his positive presence brought great happiness to his devoted parents as well as his immediate and extended family. The years shared with Steven were sincerely valued, and his relationships are appreciated by all who knew him. Steven will be remembered for his distinctive smile, and contagious laughter. 


He is survived by his parents, Stacey and Lucille Castonguay; his sister, Michelle, and her husband, Mark Potash; his nephews, Justin and Matthew, and Matthew’s wife and daughter Jocelyn and Sailor Potash, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.The family extends their appreciation to LARC and the Westledge group home, where Steven formed new friendships and enjoyed participating in activities such as attending fairs, bowling, and ice cream outings. In this time of mourning, the family finds comfort in the memories of Steven's joyful spirit and the meaningful connections he built throughout his life. They are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, neighbors, and all who shared in Steven’s journey. As loved ones hold close to the cherished moments and laughter he brought into their lives, they honor his legacy by carrying forward his kindness and warmth in their own hearts.


Services will be held privately at the request of the family.

My dear Stevie no one can imagine the impact you had on my life. As your sister said to have known is to have come in contact with the purest of hearts and love. Your smile and laughter would brightened up the darkest of days while having the ability to mend any broken heart.
