Steven "Steve" Joseph Robichaud Jr.

Steven "Steve" Joseph Robichaud Jr., aged 51, passed away on October 24, 2024, at Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. Born on January 22, 1973, Steven was known for his adventurous spirit and his big heart. He was a lover of the outdoors, a skilled handyman, and a unique individual who touched the lives of many.

Steven graduated from Worcester Vocational High School and went on to have a successful career in landscaping and construction. He was a former business partner of New Surroundings, where his creativity and hard work left a lasting impact.

He served his community and was passionate about his hobbies, which included camping, fishing, snowboarding, riding both street and dirt bikes, dancing to music at his mother’s with his children, and adventuring with his girlfriend. Steven was also a devoted dog lover, often found enjoying time outdoors with his beloved pets.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine (Babineau) Carpenter, and his grandparents, Robert and Irene (Bourgeois) Babineau and Uncle Kenneth Babineau. He is survived by a loving family: His son Steven Joseph Robichaud III, grandson Cameron Joseph Robichaud, daughter Kelsey Robichaud, sister Cynthia Giwa-Bello, her husband Afolabi and their children Alannis, Jayden, and Viviana, longtime girlfriend Kauleen Bardier and her children Kyleigh and Jayce, his father Steven Joseph Robichaud Sr.  & his wife Mary, his stepfather Edward Carpenter, his step brothers Michael and John Breton, his uncle Ronald Babineau and his ex-wife and mother of his children, Kristine (Sjosten) Bradley.

A private ceremony will be held by the family to honor Steven’s life. His adventurous spirit and loving nature will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
