February 10th, 1951 – January 24th, 2026

With heartfelt sadness we say goodbye to a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Sue peacefully passed on Saturday January 24th to be with the Lord.  Sue will be deeply missed.

Sue poured her heart and soul into her restaurant ‘The Nutmeg’, that was in Bristol.  Her husband was always by her side.  ‘The Nutmeg’ became a cherished gathering place where customers were treated like family.

In the late 80’s Sue was diagnosed with cancer which forced her to sell her restaurant.  After overcoming this cancer, Sue and her husband traveled for a while, then took up residency in Vero Beach, Florida.  Once settled in Florida, Sue took up golfing with her husband and once again opened a small diner.

After the passing of her husband and son, Sue longed to be back home with her brothers and sisters.  Sue loved her family.

Sue is survived by her son Michael Rogers of Florida, a brother William Rogers of Bristol, a sister LouAnne and her husband Michael Butkevich of Oakville, brother Paul Fregeau of New Britain, sister Sandra and her husband Billy Miller of Bristol, brother Hillary (Danny) Combs Jr. of New Britain, a sister in law Cathy Rogers of Bristol, and several nieces, nephews, grand children and a great granddaughter.

Sue is predeceased by her husband James (Jimmy) Fantasia, son David Rogers, stepson Frankie Fantasia, all of Vero Beach, Florida, her mother Grace Fulcher of Poland, Maine, brothers David Rogers and Philip Fregeau of Bristol, and a nephew Bruce J Porrini Jr. of Bristol.

A Christian memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church 3000 N Main Street, Waterbury,  on Saturday February 7th at 2 o'clock.
