In Loving Memory of Susan Thomas (Humma)

October 20, 1966 – July 16, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and even deeper love that we announce the sudden passing of Susan Thomas, affectionately known as “Humma,” of New Britain, Connecticut.
Susan was a woman of great spiritual strength, endless compassion, and radiant kindness. She believed in the power of love, the comfort of faith, and the importance of kindness — often saying, “Be nice, because you never know what someone’s going through.”
She was the heart of her family — a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her smile could light up the darkest day, and her spirit made everyone feel safe and seen. She loved her coffee, her family, her peaceful mornings, watching her grandkids,
and the simple joy of being together.
Susan is survived by her husband Blaise Thomas; daughter Sara Thomas and her spouse Mario Esquilin; son Jesse Thomas; and her beloved grandchildren Zachary, Kendall, and Cristian. Her granddogs Ruby, Udi, and Cali also brought her so much happiness.
We find comfort in knowing that Susan’s spirit lives on — in every sunrise, every prayer, and every memory we carry forward. She was our sunshine, and her light will never fade.
Please feel free to share your memories, stories, and photos of Susan below. Her family would love to read how she touched your life.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are gray…”

Mama Sue .
My extra mom . It breaks my heart to know I won’t ever get a chance to ever see you or hear your laugh or watch you light up just any room . I thank you because you birthed one of the most beautiful and caring humans in this world your daughter. I’m so lucky to call my best friend. You fought me how to drive a stick shift car and so much more . I’ll never forget every lake trip we all got to do with you side by side . I’ll never forget always being at your house for days and weeks and never leaving. A beautiful soul gone way to soon . Please vi…
