Suzanne Shields

July 10, 1962 – May 2, 2025

Suzanne Shields passed away peacefully at MidState Hospital on May 2, 2025, with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She fought with incredible strength, grace, and resilience every step of the way. She was 62 years old.

Suzanne was the beloved wife of Donald Shields, her partner and best friend for nearly 32 years. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was also the devoted mother of two daughters, Anna Krueger(Kevin Krueger) and Erin Shields. The three of them shared an extraordinary bond—more than just mother and daughters, they were best friends and true partners in crime.

She was a lifelong and passionate New York Yankees fan, never missing a game. Watching baseball with her husband and daughter was one of her favorite pastimes, bringing joy, excitement, and a bit of friendly shouting at the TV. But above all, Suzanne cherished “record nights” with her husband—where they would sing, laugh, and play golf together, just enjoying the simple, happy moments that made their love so special.

Suzanne was the heart of her family—the best mom, wife, and friend anyone could have asked for. Her warmth, strength, and endless love will live on in the lives she touched. To know her was to feel seen, supported, and deeply loved.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Anna Klik and Stanley Klik, whom she now joins in heaven. Their reunion brings comfort to those who miss her so deeply here on Earth.

Per her wishes, services will be private.

She will be missed beyond measure and remembered with boundless love.

So sorry to hear about Suzanne. We still live across the street from where the Klik family all grew up and loved them all. We came in 1992 but loved Stan & Nan! Sunday Giants games were a Klik tradition and the whole neighborhood could hear them roar or moan. We will never forget how Stan & Nan hugged our two young daughters. Stay Gold Guys. I worked with Sue for many years, and I am saddened she is gone so soon. She was a force of nature, cool under pressure, competent, resourceful and most of all caring. When she was at work it was a comfort to know that she was there taking care of things. It was no secret that she loved her husband and children. She was very proud of her girls and wanted the best for them. No words I can say will ease the loss but know that she was well respected, appreciated at SNET/AT&T
