Theodore (Ted, Teddy) Gregory Bakis age 67, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2022.
One of six children, he was born January 1st, 1955, in Pellana, Greece. Ted was a butcher for over 40 years and took great pride in his work up to the day he retired in 2019. He loved any occasion with good company, good food, and lots of laughter. He was a generous man who would never hesitate to help his family or friends. A man of many talents, Ted loved playing and watching sports, especially Golf, Basketball and Soccer. He enjoyed spending time with his late wife Rebecca Bakes (Mclaughlin) and going on long rides with no destination and a cup of coffee (black, three sugars, and an ice cube). He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially his daughters.
Ted is survived by his daughters Nichole and Olivia Bakes and their partners Laura Griffin and Jerome Toska; his grandchildren Everett Griffin and Nicholas Toska; his brothers George Bakes and Mike Bakis; his brother-in-law Christos Aloupis; his Sisters-in-Law Jayne Bakis, Joanna Bakes, Ruth Ogley, and Rachel Waddleton, and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Lila Bakes (McLaughlin), his son Gregory Theodore Bakes, his grandson Thomas Edward Toska, his sister Helen Aloupis, his brothers Tom Bakis and John Bakes, and his parents Gregory and Dimitra (Mihalopoulos) Bakes.
Heaven has gained another Spartan soldier who will protect those he loved forever and always. We will carry your memory with us until we are all united once again.
Funeral services will be held privately. A celebration to honor everything we loved and cherished about Ted will be held at a later date. Please contact Nichole to send flowers or condolence gifts.
