Warren Joseph "Bucky” Rusconi

In Killingworth on January 10th, 2025, Warren Joseph "Bucky" Rusconi, aged 91, passed away at his home after a brief illness. Marlene, his wife of 70 years was at his side holding his hand when he quietly slipped away.

Born in Guilford on February 17th, 1933 he was the son of Joseph and Anna (Hesselink) Rusconi. He was raised in North Guilford on Lake Quonnipaug.

Bucky had a 40 year career at New Haven Trap Rock (now Tilcon) as a heavy equipment and crane operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 478. 

He enjoyed motorcycle and snowmobile riding for many years.

Besides his wife Marlene, he leaves behind his five children: Donna (Bob) Smith, Laura (Bob) Madore, Wayne (Lou-Ellen)

Rusconi, Lisa (Ronny) Dearborn and Gregg Rusconi. His grandchildren: Cara (Pete) Rusconi, Nichole (Jeremy)

Mathers, Justin (Rachel) Rusconi and Rob (Alicea) Madore. Great-grandchildren Travis and Camryn Mathers.

We would like to thank our parents neighbors especially Bob, Joe, Lisa and Polly for keeping watch over our parents.

Per his wishes there will be no services.
